The Sarasota County Arts Council's mission is to create an environment where the arts flourish. The council accomplishes this through advocacy, promotion, coordination, education and access.
The Sarasota County Arts Council Board of Directors has twenty-three members who are dedicated to creating an environment where the arts can flourish. Larry Thompson, President of Ringling School of Art & Design serves as President of the Arts Council Board, Bill Herman, Marjorie Peter and Gerri Aaron are all Vice Presidents, while Robert Israeloff serves as Treasurer and Diane Belk as Secretary.
