- Manatee Memorial Hospital
Providing the community with medical services and programs on campus and at satellite sites, the hospital keeps pace with the community's rapid growth. It employs more than 1,400 people at its 491-bed, full-service, acute-care facility. The hospital has renovated and expanded its Emergency Department and is building a state-of-the-art facility at Lakewood Ranch to better serve the rapidly growing eastern portion of Manatee County. New services provided by Manatee Memorial Hospital include an onsite MRI, Biosite Diagnostic bedside heart attack diagnosis system and Surgical Weightloss Center.
Among the hospital's many services are a 24-hour Emergency Care Center; Surgery and Outpatient Services Center; Breast Care Center; The Manatee Center for Women's Health; a Pediatric Center; Life Management Center; Intensive Care Unit; Perinatal Education Center; the Total Joint Replacement Center; and the Manatee Heart Center, which offers screening, catherization, electrophysiology, surgery and rehabilitation. Manatee Memorial also offers the county's only Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit through its Family Birthplace.

Directions: From North of Sarasota traveling South
Take I-75 to Exit 210 (formerly exit 39). At the bottom of exit ramp, turn right (West) onto Fruitville Road (RT. 780). Travel 4.9 miles to Washington Boulevard (Route 301 South)and turn left onto Washington Boulevard. Travel 1.4 miles south to Waldemere Street. Turn right onto Waldemere Street and travel one block. Upon passing the Cape Surgery Center on the right, make the first left turn to enter the Waldemere parking garage.
From South of Sarasota traveling North
Take I-75 to Exit 207 (formerly Exit 38) Bee Ridge Road. Take exit ramp onto Bee Ridge Road and turn left (West). Travel 4.7 miles to Tamiami Trail (US 41). Turn right (North) onto Tamiami Trail and travel 1.34 miles to Waldemere Street and travel one block. Upon passing Cape Surgery Center on the right, make the first left turn to the Waldemere parking garage.
